National Council of French Evangelicals
The CNEF (Conseil National des Évangéliques de France) is an umbrella body similar to the Evangelical Alliance in the UK. Their aim is to encourage unity and collaboration between various evangelical groups and also to provide a national voice for French evangelicals.
France-Mission has been a member of the CNEF since its creation in 2010. The CNEF now represents 70% of all French evangelical congregations connected to a church union.
Members of the CNEF are all committed to the goal of "1pour10000", i.e. creating one evangelical church for every 10,000 people in France (see the video opposite). To help achieve this goal, the CNEF has started establishing Regional Church-Planting Training Centres (CFRi in French, for Centre de Formation Régional implanteurs). The first of these opened in 2011 at the FM church in Loches.
